Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City-Airport

Nice place, have stayed here many times when in town over the past 15 years or so, The place is in need of some maintenance as you can see the wear and items in need of attention in the common areas and especially my room. At check-in, Diamond Members are always offered water a sweet and salty treat for their loyalty. This hotel or the lady that checked me in when she only offered two bottles of water, no longer offers any perks like that but went on to thank me for my loyalty and Diamond Member status, Sweet and Salty treat is such a small token of appreciation but apparently, this is cut at this hotel along with warm cookies. They do have dog cookie treats. This is a shame and I really do not feel as valued and loyal to this hotel as I used to, I may have to try Home2Suites and another Hilton property more in town if this place continues to nose-dive. I will give it one more try when I am in town and make my decision from there. v/r, Dr. K King

The rooms need updated and cleaned better. The carpet looked disgustingly ran down and pee spots from customers bringing their animals. Hall ways smelt like pee too. Bathrooms the shower floors were black from lack of cleaning and the corners of the showers the mold was very visible. The curtains in the room had blood spots on it from I guess killing big bugs? Unsure but very disgusting. Food crumbs were left in the drawers along the side of the bed & in the small kitchen drawers. Lack of cleanliness overall. We brought our own cleaning products to make the room more comfortable because it easier to do it ourself than to have the room service handle it. The front desk gentle man looked so dirty. For him working the morning shift and everybody seeing him he looked and smelt like he hadn’t showered in a few days. I truly did not want him to touch my towels when we had asked for more. Along with our safely the courtyard door to our room did not lock. The hotel price and the cleanliness did NOT match up. We typically always love staying at all Hilton hotels but this stay was unfortunately not quite the best experience.

Rooms are decent but could be just a smidge better. Everyone who works at the hotel is extremely kind and respectful. I think it’s in a decent location, not to far from a large shopping area to include grocery stores and restaurants. If you stay at this hotel please note that the shuttle that can take you around is labeled as an Embassy Suites shuttle, not a Homewood Suites shuttle. I’m unsure as to why but it threw me off and I missed it the first time around!
